In Japan, the brand has huge cult status. The country is a stationery lover’s dream, producing some of the best pens and inks, not to mention easily the world’s most exciting stationery stores. The Japanese love their top brands, and they appreciate good quality, so Rhodia is understandably a big hit, with some special editions available only in the Japanese market.
Here in the UK, Rhodia is still an underground phenomenon, appreciated mostly only by those who write with pen and ink and who need top-quality paper, or by those who cherish memories of their holidays in France and the stationery nirvana that was the local supermarket.
Here at Bureau Direct we’ve been selling Rhodia since 1997, and we are huge fans. The brand includes not only notebooks, but pencils, diaries, luggage and mousepads, all with the same beautiful design. The aim of MyRhodia is simply to introduce this classic range to a wider audience and to show our fellow Brits what they’ve been missing.
